Color of the Month

For the 40th Anniversary of Air Force 1, Nike released several classic iterations of the AF1  over the course of 2022 to commemorate it’s rich history with the brand and its’ profound East Coast heritage. The global campaign created to support the Anniversary Edition AF1’s from a retail and content perspective was entitled ‘Color of the Month.’

The Color of the Month campaign was utilized at Nike Doors across the globe throughout 2022 and into 2023 for retail activations, content, and more. For the launch of the campaign, we also created a three-part content series on the SNKRS app to tell the story of each influential East Coast city in AF1 history.
The Nike Global NBHD and SNKRS team approached our team at Recess Studios to conceptualize and create from start to finish; a full Visual Center for Nike Doors and SNKRS channels globally. Alongside the Creative Director, I worked to concept and create a full design toolkit over the course of several months that celebrated the heritage of the silhouette with the energy of the streets that made it an icon. Along with the Visual Center, I was able to write treatments for our three part docu-series on the SNKRS app.

All-Star Weekend 2023

For All-Star Weekend 2023, Jordan Brand created a large-scale activation in Salt Lake City, UT entitled: ‘Parlor23’ to act as their central hub for athletes and consumers throughout the weekend.

The 2nd floor of the activation highlighted key Jordan athletes in their own larger-than-life athlete zones and hosted live discussions and basketball workshops with the athletes themselves, as well as offering footwear trialing and skills challenges on-court.

The 1st floor acted as a retail store and pizza parlor based on Michael Jordan’s iconic flu game and the lore of the pizza shop that he got food posioning from. Here consumers could purchase new Jordan product as well as customize jerseys or hoodies while enjoying a fresh slice of pizza.
In order to bring this grandiose idea to life, Jordan Brand enlisted the help of the team and I at Limitless Creative to concept, create, and execute a complex multi-faceted activation over All-Star Weekend.  From initial concepting for the overall experience, down to designing car wraps and hoodies, I was the lead Art Director and Designer on the Limitless end.

Coke Studio Camp Flog Gnaw

Art Direction
Design

For the 10th anniversary of Camp Flog Gnaw in November 2024, Coca-Cola brought the energy and nostalgia of a classic carnival to life. Inspired by the charm of old-school funhouses and big-top aesthetics, the Coke Studio delivered an engaging and interactive brand experience featuring: a fisheye overhead photo booth for unique, shareable moments, a mesmerizing hall of mirrors, Coca-Cola samples, and exclusive premium giveaways.
As the Art Director, I oversaw the entire process, from initial concept to execution, designing all 2D assets and ensuring the activation’s visual identity captured the balance between Coca-Cola’s iconic branding and the festival’s unique atmosphere. The carnival theme invited attendees to immerse themselves in a dynamic space that celebrated play and connection.

To commemorate the Lululemon x Team Canada collaboration for the Paris 2024 Olympics and the athlete kits they created, Lululemon hosted a reveal moment and fashion show in Toronto, featuring Team Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

The show guided viewers through Team Canada’s Opening and Closing Ceremony looks, highlighting the vibrant and versatile construction of the garments designed for both Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

As the show concluded, the grand reveal occurred as the center screen lifted, showcasing the entire collection in close-up, interactive displays that allowed guests to examine the garments and appreciate the details firsthand.
Lululemon x Team Canada collaborated with Pinch Creative to craft a unique, immersive experience for revealing the Paris 2024 athlete kits. From show-running to experiential builds, the team at Pinch managed every aspect of the event. My role encompassed initial concept development with the Spatial team, graphic applications, and direction for both the show and motion graphics.

As a way to give back to Nike App Members, local sneakerheads, and community members, Jordan Brand hosted a sort of ‘sweepstakes’ to give 23 lucky winners a Jordan Brand experience of a lifetime for various key moments throughout the year.

The first stop: Salt Lake City, UT for All-Star Weekend, where winners were treated to VIP access at Parlor23, a behind-the-scenes tour of TNT studios, exclusive product, and more.

The second stop: Boston, MA for Jayson Tatum’s first official shoe release, where winners were given VIP access to the Concepts x Tatum 1 pop-up, exclusive product, a Celtics courtside experience at TD Garden, and more.
Jordan Brand worked with Limitless Creative to develop and execute the VIP23 ‘sweepstakes’ including the full activation and recap content.  I worked as the lead designer/art director on the activations themselves as well as the content.

Air Council

The “Air Council” was a group of 10 creatives in Chicago formed with the intention of advancing the state of the creative landscape and opportunities for those working within it. The council was comprised of five former Nike School: Chicago participants from previous semesters who displayed incredible talent. For their efforts, we sought out five of Chicago’s most elite artists and entrepreneurs in the respective spaces they aspire to work in and provided the opportunity to form the perfect curriculum for each of the mentor/mentee pairings.

This program presented the mentees with a unique opportunity to elevate their craft and approach to innovation through the guidance of their assigned Air Council mentor.  At the end of the 6-week experience, the Air Council mentees walked away with invaluable knowledge and experience to prepare them for the industry.
From its’ inception, the Air Council project and curriculum was by far one of the most complicated and rewarding projects I have had the opportunity to work on in my career. From developing a full curriculum for each of the 5 pairs of mentors and mentees to consolidating the whole experience into the Air Summit experience for the City of Chicago, this project spanned over 6+ months and would not have come to life without the entire team involved. My role, like many other team members on this project, involved a little bit of everything; early strategic thinking, curriculum building, any and all design work, and quite literally everything in between.

Summer Series

Creative Direction
Art Direction

Returning to Chicago for its’ second year in a row, the Jumpman Summer Series is a community-based recreational basketball tournament with the same energy as a pro game. The teams on the 2023 roster consisted of a balance of retail doors and community hot spots in Chicago with some more charitable organizations and programs focused on giving back to the community. This delicate balance fueled some of the biggest rivalries yet, driving energy throughout the series and into the championship, where Succezz took their second win in a row.
After a successful first year in 2022, Jordan Brand decided to run Summer Series back with the exact same small crew at Limitless Creative as the first time. From conception to execution, I handled all things creative from the agency side along with Art Direction for all the content.

The first semester was hosted at Harvard University and featured guest lectures from Nike executives, Virgil Abloh, and surprise performances from Rico Nasty and more. Along with the educational experience of a lifetime, each student recieved a one-off capsule collection in collaboration with Nike along with a pair of custom Air Force 1’s.

Just Do It Day

Creative Direction

For Nike’s JDI Day 2023 celebration, they hosted a number of different activations across WHQ campus for employees to participate in. From pickle ball to basketball, music, drinks, and even a late night talk show; there was no shortage of entertainment for employees for a successful day of movement, mindfulness, nutrition, rest, and connection.

Nike enlisted the team and I to come up with bespoke visual identites and activations for 3 key activations on campus; a gritty NY-inspired park jam, a digital focused eSports lounge, and retro late night talk show.
Of the many activations on campus, the team and I at Plastic Sunshine were able to work on three key moments at WHQ:

AF1 Park Jam:
A classic NY-Style basketball park jam with breakdancers, pick-up games, pop-a-shots, an AF1 gallery, & more.

.Swoosh  All Access eLounge:
A moody eSports lounge with early acess to unreleased games, marquee face-offs, gaming stations, & more.

‘Late Night’ with Howard “H” White:
A late night talk show with the legendary Howard White of Jordan brand and guests like Nigel Sylvester and Ray Allen.
