40th Anniversary ‘Color of the Month’

For the 40th Anniversary of Air Force 1, Nike released several classic iterations of the AF1  over the course of 2022 to commemorate it’s rich history with the brand and its’ profound East Coast heritage. The global brand campaign created to support the Anniversary Edition AF1’s from a retail and content perspective was entitled ‘Color of the Month.’

The Color of the Month brand campaign was utilized at Nike Doors across the globe throughout 2022 and into 2023 for retail activations, content, and more. For the launch of the campaign, we also created a three-part content series on the SNKRS app to tell the story of each influential East Coast city in AF1 history.

The Nike Global NBHD and SNKRS team approached our team at Recess Studios to conceptualize and create from start to finish; a full Visual Center for Nike Doors and SNKRS channels globally. Alongside the Creative Director, I worked to concept and create a full design toolkit over the course of several months that celebrated the heritage of the silhouette with the energy of the streets that made it an icon. Along with the Visual Center, I wrote treatments for our three part docu-series on social and the SNKRS app.
