Adidas Skateboarding x Tyshawn Jones ‘The Bronx News’

To celebrate the launch of Tyshawn’s latest signature shoe with adidas skateboarding, we brought the Bronx to life with a full-scale newsstand-style pop-up at 203 Spring Street in the heart of SoHo. Designed as a hybrid newsstand-meets-skateshop/bodega, the space was packed wall-to-wall with Tyshawn’s Thrasher covers, sponsor gear, custom candy packaging, newspapers, and an icebox stocked with special product. A limited-edition colorway of the shoe was released exclusively at the pop-up, drawing a crowd that included Edison Chen, the adidas Skateboarding team, and more.

In parallel, we installed a mini version of the Bronx newsstand inside the adidas Originals store, where Tyshawn made a surprise appearance to hand out custom bobbleheads, skate decks, and meet fans. To round out the week, we hosted a skate jam at LES Skatepark, complete with a product toss and community celebration that tied back to the launch.

Beyond the event, we also led creative on the full Tyshawn seasonal retail toolkit, rolling out globally this summer — more soon.
