IDK x Nike No Label Academy Year 1

Home

IDK’s ‘No Label Academy’ is a program that aims to provide education and access around the entertainment and music industries to a diverse selection of students from around the country. The first semester was hosted at Harvard University and featured guest lectures from Nike executives, Virgil Abloh, and surprise performances from Rico Nasty and more.

Along with the educational experience of a lifetime, each student recieved a one-off capsule collection and class uniform in collaboration with Nike and other brands along with a pair of custom Air Force 1’s. IDK and Nike enlisted the help of the team and I at Recess Studios to help build a curriculum for the experience, as well as design and produce a bespoke capsule collection for the students and contributors.

The ‘No Label Academy’ design identity was developed alongside IDK himself pulling from nostalgic collegiate references and Harvard iconography. We created various logo lockups and collegiate arches to give the collection a true college feel, along with the now iconic tri-dot swoosh logo lockup which has gone on to become a symbol of the ongoing collaboration between Nike and IDK as seen on his Freecoast F95 collection, and more.

No Label Academy and consistent collaboration between Nike and IDK continues on to this day, hosting inspiring students across the country at Harvard’s esteemed campus, and iterating on the groundwork we laid.
